It does not rely solely on its great warmth-to-weight ratio, which allows it to still be cosy at a tare weight of about 1,000g in single-digit degrees. It goes a step further and places great emphasis on sustainable production as well as high moisture resistance.</p><p>The 800 cuin goose down used is certified according to the Responsible Down Standard and thus comes from demonstrably species-appropriate husbandry. In addition, the down was impregnated PFC-free. In collaboration with Nikwax®, Rab has created waterproofing through which the down absorbs significantly less moisture and dries much faster. With the Pertex® Quantum outer material, this approach is consistently followed through.
