Ceramic Filter Carbodyn

<p class="" data-start="377" data-end="748">The Katadyn Carbodyn is a high-performance activated carbon element that has been specially developed for use in conjunction with Katadyn ceramic filters. It reliably reduces over 90% of free chlorine, organic pollutants and heavy metals such as lead - ensuring clean, fresh drinking water with no unpleasant taste or odor.</p> <p class="" data-start="750" data-end="1067">An integrated 10 micron pre-filter made from three-layer PP additionally retains coarse suspended particles before the water is passed through the high-performance activated carbon block. The filter element is made entirely from materials suitable for drinking water and is protected by robust, food-safe plastic caps.</p> <p class="" data-start="1069" data-end="1390">With a service life of up to 16,000 liters or 12 months, the Carbodyn element is ideal for long-term use in the home or when travelling. The recommended use is together with a 0.2 micron ceramic filter (e.g. Katadyn Ceradyn) to ensure additional microbiological safety.</p> <p class="" data-start="1069" data-end="1390">Regular maintenance is recommended for optimum filter performance: The element should be air-dried every two weeks - using two units in parallel makes it easier to replace them during operation.</p>
