Description

The Keron and Keron GT (which features a larger vestibule), are Hilleberg's flagship tunnel tents, highly suitable for treks into the wilderness under extreme weather conditions. Thanks to the Kerlon 1800 membrane used for the fly, and the 10mm tent poles, Keron tents are a go-to choice for occasions when durability is more important than shaving grams. The tents' great strength-to-weight ratio, compact pack size and double entrances make them perfect for year-round use, even above treeline. Their worth becomes most apparent when winter camping. Though the tunnel structure is usually preferred by those who will be moving camp often, these icons in the tent market are also often used as base camp tents.

Shortly after Hilleberg introduced these tents they began being widely used for polar expeditions, thanks to their excellent durability, stability in windy conditions, roominess, and no-frills design. These same qualities have made the Keron and Keron GT immensely popular for all manner of trips intro the wild backcountry. The two high-end tent models are most popular among outdoor professionals like mountain guides and search and rescue teams.

However, the tents are of course just as well-suited for families, hikers, and anyone who is looking for a highly durable tent for any conditions. Those traveling with lots of gear have come to appreciate the larger vestibule of the GT version - the GT-vestibule of the Keron 4 GT can even hold two bicycles!

easy-to-use tunnel design makes setting up the tent a breeze

fly made of Kerlon 1800 and 10mm tent poles for extraordinary stability

only 4 stakes necessary for setup, with bombproof stability provided by 14 (Keron) or 18 (Keron GT) guy lines

roomy interior thanks to vertical entrances and enough height to sit everywhere

boatloads of extra storage space in the vestibules on both sides - one could also be used a camp kitchen

bonus: one entrance will always be facing away from the weather

removable mosquito net on the entrance to the GT-vestibule

vents on both models are effective no matter what the weather conditions, working with breathable walls to create a comfortable climate inside - even if the tent is half buried in snow

Capacity: 3-person | Weight: 4.4 / 4.7kg (min/max) | Vestibule Area: 2.8 + 1.3m2 | Tent Poles: DAC aluminium, 10mm diameter | Fly Material: Kerlon 1800 - 40 Denier High Tenacity Ripstop Nylon, triple-layer silicone coating on both sides, waterproof up to 30 kPa (ISO-811) | Tent Material: 40 Denier High Tenacity Ripstop Nylon, DWR (durable water repellent) treatment | Floor Material: 100 Denier High Tech Tenacity Nylon, coated with 3 layers of polyurethane, waterproof up to 70 kPa (ISO-811) | Exterior Dimensions: 510 x 170 x 110cm (L/W/H) | Interior Dimensions: 220 x 160 x 105cm (L/W/H) | Includes: Replacement segment, repair material, 22 stakes | Optional: Footprint
