Description

The Hanwag Friction II GTX are light, stable and limited crampon resistant alpine mountain boots for classic alpine tours with glacier crossings and via ferrata.

Thanks to its high shaft and waterproof, breathable and insulating Gore-Tex® lining, the robust mountain boot offers optimum protection in the harsh high mountain climate.

Like its predecessors, it is a specialist for alpine trekking with very good climbing performance and has sufficient room for thicker socks thanks to its wider-cut lasts in the forefoot area. In any case, this allows unhindered blood circulation to the toes - an essential prerequisite for preventing frostbite. The Friction II GTX can be precisely adjusted for a non-slip fit with its forefoot and shaft lacing, which can be controlled in a targeted manner.

The cushioning structure of the sole is equipped with good stiffening and the Vibram® Dolomit Plus profiled sole with climbing zone provides a very good grip. A crampon mount on the heel makes it possible to wear semi-automatic crampons.
