<p>The Munich Way of St. James was opened in 2003 and leads along idyllic paths from the state capital via Kempten to Lindau on Lake Constance. Along the way, it passes numerous pilgrimage churches and interesting monasteries such as Sch&auml;ftlarn Monastery.</p> <p>The pilgrim guide describes the almost 280 km long route in 15 stages and presents worthwhile alternatives, e.g. a variant to Bregenz. Those traveling by bike will also find valuable tips. Maps, elevation profiles and information on accommodation and local transport in the towns along the way complete the description and enable flexible stage planning. The first chapters provide information about the Way of St. James and tips for planning the hike.</p>
