This guide shows you the excellent hiking trails and campsites in every season.</p> <p>The Pirkan Taival is a network of over 300 km of hiking trails criss-crossing Pirkanmaa, connecting national parks and nature reserves. Pirkan Taival is worth a visit at any time of year: in winter, you can explore the region on groomed trails and stop off at comfy huts, while in summer you can pick mushrooms and berries on excellent marked trails, and the numerous lakes invite you to swim and relax. The Birgitan Polku is a circular trail that starts in Tampere and makes a loop around some beautiful lakes and forests via Lempäälä.</p> <p
