<p>Whenever you need extra insulation on the mountain, go for the Atom vest from Arcteryx. It's pleasantly lightweight, doesn't bulk you out and delivers technical performance at the highest level.</p><p>The wind- and water-repellent outer material has been designed with Robust breathability in mind. It complements the lining and the synthetic fibre padding excellently. The synthetic fibre padding was well chosen at 60 g/m² because it provides a lot of warmth without being too warm. Supported by stretch fleece inserts on the sides, the climate is well regulated, but at the same time, it is not constricting.</p><p>The Atom vest can be worn on its own on cool days during mountain and high altitude tours or alpine climbs. But when it gets colder, it also works great as a mid-layer.</p>
