Firn- and Iceclimbing in the Eastern Alps

<p>In the second edition of this selection guide, over 100 beautiful and interesting firn and ice tours as well as waterfalls in the Eastern Alps are described in detail. The spectrum ranges from the Ortler North Face, the Pallavicini Rinne on the Grossglockner and the Bianco Ridge to some long ice waterfalls. In addition to well-known classics, insider tips such as the Königspitze Ostrinne, the Wildspitze Südcouloir or the Prijakt Nordrinne are also presented in detail. As the touring season for firn and ice north faces is shifting more and more into winter, the possibility of skiing has been taken into account for most routes.&nbsp;</p><p>For each route there is detailed information about the ascent and descent, character, wall height, climbing time, required equipment, dangers and wall overviews as well as at least five color photos of each route and a short summary in English. In a comprehensive, richly illustrated information section, experts provide tips on route planning, safety and tactics.
